**Arthur Raceway Rules – 2024 Season**

**General Regulations:** Save

**Fuel Specification:**

    •    All gas classes must use 87 octane fuel that meets NKA standards. Fuel can be sourced from B&B Gas Station across from the track for testing purposes.
    •    Fuel must be within +/- 5 points of the established fuel sample. No exceptions

**Tire Regulations:**

    •    Arthur Raceway is a Vega tire track. Any compound of Vega tire is permitted.
    •    Chemical alteration, commonly referred to as Tire Prepping, is prohibited
    •    No cleaning of tires is allowed. Tires must be run as practiced. Racers must register the set of tires they plan to use for the day and must run the same set in practice, heats, and feature races.
    •    Any tire issues arising after practice on race day must be approved by a track official.

**Safety Gear:**

    • Helmets rated 2018 or newer are mandatory for all racers.
    • Full Coverage (Full Face), Face-shield installed and require
    • Gloves required in all divisions
    • Driving suit made of abrasion resistant material are required
    • if hair extends beyond the helmet competitor must wear a balaclava, hair should not be visible when driver is “race ready”
    • Cameras can not be affixed to the helmet in any way- Black flag and removed from course.

**Age Verification:**

    •  Birth certificate or other proof of age is required for all racers aged 15 years or younger.
    •  Age for racing is determined based on the racer’s age as of December 31 of the current year. The absolute minimum age for on-track NKA events is 5  years old.

**Equipment Requirements:**

    •    – Chain guard is mandatory for all classes.
    •    – All weights must have a double nut and kart number written on them.
    •    – A minimum of 4 karts is required for a class to proceed.
    •    – Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 in each class.

**Tech Inspection:**

    •    – Random tech inspections will be performed weekly.

**Disqualification Rules:**

    1.    Any part coming off the kart or racer during an on-track event will result in automatic disqualification for that race. This includes but is not limited to weights, safety apparel, air filters, exhaust parts, etc. No points will be awarded.

**Class Specifications:**

**Rookie Novice:**

  1.    – Ages 5-7 years. No minimum weight rule.
  2.    – AKRA clone rules or Predator motor.
  3.    – Small pipe with RED plate.
  4.    – Any clutch but must be a 14-tooth gear only.
  5.    – Maximum main carb jet size is .042.
  6.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Rookie Experienced:**

  1.    – Ages 5-7 years. No minimum weight rule.
  2.    – AKRA Clone rules.
  3.    – Small pipe with GREEN plate.
  4.    – Any clutch but must be a 14-tooth gear only.
  5.    – Maximum main carb jet size is .041.
  6.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Rookie Predator:**

  1.    – Ages 5-7 years. No minimum weight rule.
  2.    – Green plate.
  3.    – 14T clutch gear only and small pipe.
  4.    – Maximum main carb jet size is .041.
  5.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Purple Plate Clone:**

  1.    – Ages 8-11 years. 250lb minimum weight rule.
  2.    – AKRA clone rules.
  3.    – Small pipe with PURPLE plate.
  4.    – Any clutch gear allowed.
  5.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Purple Plate Predator:**

  1.    – Ages 8-11 years. 250lb weight rule.
  2.    – Small pipe with PURPLE plate.
  3.    – Any clutch gear allowed.
  4.    – Maximum main carb jet size is .041.
  5.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Blue Plate Clone:**

  1.    – Ages 12-15 years. 300lb minimum weight rule.
  2.    – AKRA clone rules.
  3.    – Big pipe with BLUE plate.
  4.    – Any clutch and gear allowed.
  5.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Blue Plate Predator:**

  1.    – Ages 12-15 years. 300lb minimum weight rule.
  2.    – Big pipe with blue plate.
  3.    – Any clutch and gear allowed.
  4.    – Maximum main carb jet size is .039.
  5.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Clone Masters:**

  1.    – Ages 15 and older. 360lbs minimum weight rule.
  2.    – AKRA clone rules.
  3.    – Any clutch and gear allowed.
  4.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Flathead Gas:**

  1.    – Ages 15 and older. WKA Briggs flathead rules.
  2.    – 375lb minimum weight rule.
  3.    – Any clutch and gear allowed.
  4.    – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Flathead Alcohol:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older. WKA Briggs flathead rules.
  2.     – 375lb minimum weight rule.
  3.     – If running with flathead gas class, must weigh 400lbs with driver weighing at least 200lbs.

**Animal:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older. WKA Animal rules.
  2.     – 360lb minimum weight rule.

**Quarter Midgets:**

  1.     – Rules TBD by Quarter Midget club.

**Cage:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older.
  2.     – Modified Animal Motor

**Open:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older. 375lb minimum weight rule.

**Predator Stock – Light:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older.
  2.     – AKRA Predator rules.
  3.     – 340lbs minimum weight rule.
  4.     – Stock Predator 212cc.
  5.     – Maximum main carb jet size is .038.
  6.     – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Predator Stock – Heavy:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older.
  2.     – AKRA Predator rules.
  3.     – 400lbs minimum weight rule.
  4.     – Driver must be minimum 200lbs.
  5.     – Stock Predator 212cc.
  6.     – Maximum main carb jet size is .038.
  7.     – 87 octane pump gas only.

**Predator Open:**

  1.     – Ages 15 and older.
  2.     – 360lbs minimum weight rule.
  3.     – Predator 212cc.
  4.     – For any motor modifications not fitting Predator Stock class.

**2024 Arthur Raceway Predator Rules:**

  1. – Classes and specifications as follows:
  2. Rookie Predator Ages 5-7 (no weight)
  3. Purple Plate Predator Ages 8-11 (250lbs min)
  4. Blue Plate Predator Ages 12-14 (300lbs min)
  5. Stock Predator Ages 15-up (340lbs min for Light, 400lbs min for heavy)
  6. Open Predator Ages 15-up (360lbs min)

-Engine specifications, modifications, and fuel requirements must align with NKA standards.

**Social Media & General Conduct**

Social media is integral to our community, fostering discussion and promoting activities. Participants, officials, and associated parties must adhere to NKA Social Media Policy (10.1.11):

  • Content should not be threatening, harassing, bullying, illegal, obscene, defamatory, slanderous, or hostile.
  • Prohibited activities include but not limited to: physical or verbal assault, use or possession of illegal substances, and underage consumption of alcohol.
  • Participants entering the restricted area must be sober and not under the influence of any impairing substance. Alcohol or controlled substances are not permitted on Arthur raceway grounds at any time,
  • Authorities will be notified of any criminal activity at Arthur Raceway and NKA facilities or events.
